2018 Presidents Message

As has been often said, Thanksgiving Weekend is about coming home and not just to Brigden Fair but to a sense of family, tradition and good honest fun. It’s about reliving and creating new memories with your parents and your children.

The first Brigden Fair was held in 1850 and featured only cattle and horses, and prior to 1928 only Moore residents could be exhibitors; however, “Open to the World” was declared that year and exhibits were opened to an unlimited area. Since then, many exhibitors and patrons from all over the region have been “Making Tracks to Brigden Fair” to enjoy the challenge of the competitions, delicious food and festivities.

Many new classes have been added thru the years and this year is no exception. Throughout the fair prize book and the Program of Events, you will see new classes and activities in the Industrial Arts Division, Sensory Items, Junior sections as well as some different Livestock classes. Be sure to read carefully through the prize book to discover all the changes that have been made.

To the exhibitors, without you, we would not be able to organize such an amazing showcase of talent, artistry, skill and showmanship on Thanksgiving Weekend.

We would also like to thank our many sponsors and community partners. Your assistance contributes greatly toward the success of our Society.

To the exhibitors, without you, we would not be able to organize such an amazing showcase of talent, artistry, skill and showmanship on Thanksgiving Weekend.

As we combine the traditional with modern, we hope, whether by foot, horse, carriage, trains, planes, or automobiles, that you will join us and “Make Tracks to Brigden Fair” on Thanksgiving Weekend.

We would also like to suggest you go to www.brigdenfair.ca or our Brigden Fair Facebook page for updates on activities and shows for 2018.

See you at the Fair!
