Seeking a punctual, hard-working, mature, conscientious, honest and well-organized candidate to work in the
Brigden Fair Office.

Must haves:
Excellent organizational & telephone phone management skills; oral and written communication skills are
essential. Must be able to set priorities and complete tasks accurately.
Must be willing to work extra hours before, during and after the Fair. This is the crucial season when everything
must be done immediately.

Job Summary:
Key responsibility of the position is to provide secretarial support to the Moore Agricultural Society Board of
Directors and membership and their related activities (both internally and through external contacts);
file/maintain records, and respond to public inquiries. This individual must have outstanding customer service,
the ability to prioritize and exceptional organizational skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skill
  • Team player, able to multi-task with strong time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively with Board members, committee chairs, volunteers and the public
  • Detail orientated, with a high degree of accuracy
  • Must be self-directed and have the ability to meet challenging and tight deadlines
  • Able to take initiative, but also take direction
  • Show professionalism and ethical behaviour
  • Handle information with confidentiality
  • Ability to adapt appropriately to changing circumstances in the office environment

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a 2 year College Program specific to office administration related specialty or equivalent
    work experience
  • Demonstrated computer experience related to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher)
    required, co-ordinate website update/maintenance.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be bondable
  • Must agree to Police/CIPC check
  • Knowledge of agricultural and fair industry an asset
