The emergency generator, completed and unveiled at the 2016 Brigden Fair, will provide power to the Exhibition Hall in the event of an emergency or extended power disruption. It could also serve as an Emergency Operations Centre for responders.

In the event of a power disruption, the natural gas generator automatically turns on, enabling the Exhibition Hall to remain operable for extended periods of time. It will also be a safe haven for residents of the 13 St. Clair Twp communities living within proximity of Brigden.
